They are charged with abusing husband and wife Croat nationals in the village Grabovci in May 1993, who were brought by the members of Zulfikar squad from the village of Liscici.

“Defendant Causevic beat the civilian K. Z. with a wooden stick, and Handanovic joined him while abusing victim. She threatened his wife that she would be raped. Victim K. Z. was beaten and taken through the village, and he was often falling down due to the beatings and abuse,” prosecution said.

According to the indictment, Handanovic and Causevic were members of the Bosnian Army’s Zulfikar squad.

The indictment has been forwarded to the Bosnian court for confirmation.

Handanovic was convicted to five-and-a-half years in prison in another case in 2012, after she pleaded guilty to participating in the execution of six Croats in Trusina on April 16, 1993.
