The suspects, former members of units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, MUP, of the Republic of BiH, RBiH, Territorial Defence, TO of RBiH, Army of RBiH and Croatian Armed Forces, HOS, deliberately participated in a joint criminal enterprise in villages on the territory of Trnovo municipality with the common aim of depriving a number of Serb civilians and prisoners of war of their lives.

The Prosecution charges Godinjak, Saric and Bunoza with the unlawful arrests and detention of people in detention facilities in Trnovo municipality. They are also accused of setting property on fire as well as other inhumane acts against captured members of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS.

More than 90 people, most of whom were the elderly, were killed during those war crimes. A large number of women, as well as a child born in 1990, were among the victims as well.

The Prosecution intends to prove the allegations contained in the indictment, which has been forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation, by examining about 140 Prosecution witnesses and presenting more than 300 pieces of material evidence.

The Prosecution of BiH says that the indictment is one of the most expansive indictments filed by the Special War Crimes Section since the beginning of its work.
