Mitar and Rade Vlasenko, and Koncar, former members of the Army of the Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, were arrested as per a warrant issued by the State Prosecution, which suspects them of having killed seven Bosniaks in Kozarac during May and June 1992.

“They are suspected of having committed crimes against humanity in their capacity as members of the Serbian Republic of BiH Army within a widespread and systematic attack by the Army, police and paramilitary units against the Bosniak and Croat civilian population in Prijedor municipality,” the Prosecution of BiH said in its announcement.

SIPA members are conducting a search at three locations, looking for evidence that can be associated with these crimes.

Following the examination of the suspects, the State Prosecution will decide whether to file a custody order motion or not.
