Additional pieces of evidence referring to indictees Predrag Milisavljevic’s and Ljubomir Tasic’s membership in the Army are presented at the trial for crimes in Visegrad.
Prosecutor Dzevad Muratbegovic presented as additional evidence, an order issued by the Command of the Second Podrinje Infantry Brigade with the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, in December 1992 in order to prove, as he said, that indictee Tasic was Commander of the Second Company with that Brigade.
At the same time the Defence of indictee Tasic said that it wanted to include the same document as its evidence, because it considered that Tasic was an ordinary soldier, not commander, on June 14, 1992, when Bosniaks from Visegrad were transported in convoys.
“Tasic did not have a managerial function. He was appointed Commander in December. This happened a few months after those convoys,” Defence attorney Mirsada Beganovic Zutic said.
The Prosecution of BiH charges Predrag Milisavljevic and Milos Pantelic of the murder of several tens of Bosniaks near Paklenik pit, Sokolac municipality.
They are charged, along with Ljubomir Tasic, with having participated in forced resettlement of more than 500 Bosniak civilians from the Visegrad area.
According to the charges, Milisavljevic and Pantelic were reserve policemen in Visegrad, while Tasic was a member of the VRS.
The Defence of indictee Milisavljevic presented, as additional evidence, a military service record book for the indictee, claiming that it contradicted the Prosecution’s allegations.
“He served as a soldier, not a reserve policeman, as alleged by the Prosecution, from May 18, 1992 to February 25, 1994,” said Defence attorney Dragisa Mihajlovic.
Prosecutor Muratbegovic announced that the indictment would be revised in order to further specify the factual status.
The trial is due to continue on June 24.
