“I cannot breathe,” said Hodzic, former member of “Zulfikar” Squad of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH.

Testifying in his defence prior to the interruption of the trial, Bojadzic, former Deputy Commander of “Zulfikar” Squad, told the Court where he had been prior to April 16, 1993, when the murders of Croats were committed in Trusina.

The indictee, who began testifying on March 24, said that, on April 12, 1993 he and his then girlfriend attended a wedding of his Commander Zulfikar Alispago.

“I was his best man. The wedding took place in Tarcin,” the indictee said.

As he said, around noon that same day they went to Jablanica, where they continued celebrating before going back to Tarcin.

“I stayed there overnight with my girlfriend,” Bojadzic said, adding that Alispago’s acquaintances continued visiting him at his house on April 13, 1993.

Bojadzic and Hodzic are on trial, along with Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, who too were members of “Zulfikar” Squad, and Senad Hakalovic, former member of “Neretvica” Brigade of ABiH, for having committed crimes in Trusina.

Bojadzic is charged with having ordered soldiers to attack Trusina. He allegedly ordered them not to leave any survivors in the village and commanded the attack via communication means from a nearby hill.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina recently separated the proceedings against Zulfikar Alispago from the case against the other indictees due to his illness.

Bojadzic is due to continue testifying on April 28.
