The exact number of missing persons in wars as well as natural disasters and illegal acts in the world is unknown. In order to be found and identified experts from around the world consider that a common platform for searching for missing persons is needed. Gathered in one place they have concluded that the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) plays a key role in this process.
