The presented pieces of evidence included decisions and official documents issued by the wartime Presidency of the Serbian municipality of Vogosca about the application of international war legislation, as well as an official document issued by the Central Commission for Exchange of Prisoners, which says, among other things, that captured persons could be used to perform works.

A decision on the establishment of a detention facility in Vogosca was included in the case file, just like an instruction on treatment of detainees.

The Prosecution proposed that a few entries from the prison registry from July 1992, which were signed by Manager Branko Vlaco, be included in the case file as well. The Defence objected to the authenticity of those documents, claiming that indictee Vlaco was visiting his family in Belgrade at that time.

According to the records, about 50 Bosniaks were detained in the prison.

The indictment alleges that Vlaco, former Manager of “Bunker”, “Planjina kuca”, “Kod Sonje” and “Nakina garaza” detention camps, is charged with having established a system for punishment of detained civilians, who were abused, forced to perform hard labour and used as human shields. Many of them were killed at those locations, while tens are still considered missing.

The trial is due to continue on October 30.
