The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina presented documents with which it wanted to deny the Defence’s allegations that one of the witnesses testified under pressure. This referred to witness Ilija Sipura, who testified before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in August this year and said that he “was under pressure while giving his statement.”

The presented documents also included a report on an investigation into events in the Kotor-Varos area, as well as a list of persons, who could help open an investigation. Witness Ilija Sipura’s name was on that list.

The Defence teams objected to the relevance of this piece of evidence.

Fikret Planincic, Rasim Lisancic, Sead Menzil and Mirsad Vatrac, former members of the Territorial Defence, are charged with having participated in an attack on Serdari village on September 17, 1992, when 16 Serb civilians were killed.

The Defence of indictee Menzil presented, as an additional piece of evidence, a list of persons killed in Serdari village, while its request for the examination of a protected Hague witness was rejected.

The trial in this case began in December 2011. The State Prosecution is due to present its closing statement on November 12.
