Trial of Ninkovic Next Year
The District Court in Doboj decides at a status conference that the trial of Branislav Ninkovic, who is charged with war crimes against the civilian population, is due to begin on January 21, 2014.

Ninkovic, former guard at the District Prison in Doboj, is charged with having participated, from May 1992 to March 1993, in the torture and abuse of non-Serb civilians, which resulted in severe mental and physical suffering, bodily injuries and death of prisoners.
District Prosecutor Izudin Berberovic announced that he would try to prove the allegations from the indictment, which contains 13 counts, by examining 23 witnesses, including a protected witness and court medicine expert witness.
Defence attorney Branko Ristic announced that the Defence would propose its evidence at a later stage.
