A medical court expert is due to present her findings and opinion about the injured party’s health condition on the basis of a complete set of documents. Asim Kadic is charged with war crimes in Visoko.
Based on the mentioned findings the Trial Chamber will decide whether the injured party’s testimony in the presence of the indictee might affect her health condition.
According to the charges, Kadic, a former member of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, forced a Serb woman to have sexual intercourse with him several times on June 27, 1992.
Court expert Emira Ejubovic said that she stuck to her findings and opinion presented at the last hearing, adding that she still had not received the additional documentation.
According to the previous findings by the court expert, examining the injured party even in the absence of the indictee would be traumatic for her considering her mental state.
The defence objected because it considered that the documentation that the court expert used for preparing her findings and opinion was incomplete.
The Trial Chamber ordered the Prosecution to examine the witness and review the injured party’s medical records in Zvornik, where she currently lives, by June 4.
