Witness Adisa Becic said that she used to work in a kitchen in Bilice village, Kotor-Varos municipality, where refugees from the surrounding villages came to eat.
Vatrac used to help us in the kitchen. I heard that he cut himself with a pocket knife while cutting meat. I saw him walking around with a stick. His leg was bandaged, Becic said.
The witness told the Court that she used to see indictee Lisancic in Bilice as well, adding that he was a shepherd and that he had never carried weapons.
Besides Vatrac and Lisancic, the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina charges Fikret Planincic and Sead Menzil with having attacked Serdari village, Kotor-Varos municipality, on September 17, 1992, when 16 civilians were killed.
According to the State Prosecutions charges, the indictees were members of the Territorial Defence at that time.
Testifying at this hearing, second witness Sefik Cirkic said that he used to see indictee Vatrac in Bilice village, adding that he wore civilian clothes. He also said that indictee Lisancic was dressed in a civil suit and that he was not armed when he saw him shepherding cows in Bilice village.
When asked by Fadil Abaz, Defence attorney of indictee Vatrac, whether he heard about the attack on Serdari village, the witness said that he knew little about it, adding that he did not even know on what date the attack happened.
The trial is due to continue on April 16.
