Hondo, a Bosnian citizen, was arrested at the Badovinci crossing near Bijeljina on March 20 and was ordered into one month custody.

According to spokesperson Boris Grubesic, the Bosnian prosecution asked for copies of the evidence from the file against Hondo.

Grubesic, however, refused to comment on whether Bosnia will ask for Hondo to be extradited.

The Bosnian prosecutor’s office asked for the evidence against Hondo under the Protocol on co-operation on war crimes cases with Serbia, which was signed in January this year.

The protocol allows for exchange of evidence and information in war crimes investigations between the two countries, especially in situations of parallel investigations. It also envisages for trials in the state where suspects reside, even if they committed crimes on the territory of another state.

The Bosnian prosecution also asked for a list of all Bosnian citizens who Serbia has issued warrants against.
