According to Prosecutor Gojko Stjepanovic, it has been proved, through the presentation of evidence, that the indictee committed the crimes charged upon him with premediation.
During their testimonies a few witnesses said that they saw Stjepanovic in the Bosanska Bijela area and that he performed military service the Brcko municipality area at the beginning of the war, the Prosecutor told the Basic Court in Brcko.
He mentioned that the Brcko District Prosecution took over the indictment against Ivan Stjepanovic from the Military Court in Banja Luka.
The Court passed down a verdict pronouncing the indictee guilty, but the verdict has not come into force, because it has never been hand-delivered to Stjepanovic, the Prosecutor said.
The indictment alleges that Stjepanovic is charged with several murders, robberies and the destruction of property in Bijela, Cerik and Bukvik villages in the Brcko area.
The Defence is due to present its closing statement on November 28.
