A Collection on Siege of Sarajevo Displayed

On Thursday, April 5 a virtual collection of FAMA consortium, presenting 27 projects about the happenings in Sarajevo from 1992 to 1996, was displayed in Hastahana park in Marijin-Dvor, Sarajevo, where a museum is supposed to be built within the next two years. The collection was presented to citizens and delegations by Alija Behmen, Mayor of Sarajevo, and Suada Kapic, author of the project, who expressed their satisfaction with the project.It was said during the presentation that the virtual FAMA collection was a set of projects about the siege of Sarajevo, containing more than 1,000 interviews with about 450 people from Sarajevo, a poll on survival in Sarajevo, and more than 10,000 textual messages related to the events that took place in Sarajevo from 1991 to 1996.It was explained that the museum of the siege of the city would be set up on two levels. One of the buildings will host a permanent display, temporary exhibitions and projects, research center, digital library and archive, while the FAMA collection will be displayed on the second level.The FAMA Project consortium consists of the International Theater Fest, MESS, FAMA International, Education Builds Bosnia and Herzegovina Association and Youth Initiative for Human Rights, YIHR BiH.The Mayor of Sarajevo said that the city authorities supported the project, while the Centar Sarajevo municipality provided the plot on which the Museum of the Siege of Sarajevo would be built.D.D.
