Week ahead: Trial for Capljina and Stolac Crimes Begins

The trial of Veselko Raguz and Ivo Raguz, whom the State Prosecution charges with participating in crimes against civilian detainees in Stolac and Capljina in July and August 1993, is due to begin on Wednesday, December 14 this year, when the indictment will be read and introductory statements presented.
On that same day the Defence of Zoran Marjanovic, who is indicted for crimes in Rogatica in 1992, is due to present its introductory statement. The trial of Marjanovic began in October this year.
On Friday, December 16 Oliver Krsmanovic, former member of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, is due to enter his plea to the charges that he committed crimes in Visegrad municipality.
On Monday and Thursday new State Prosecution witnesses are due to be examined at the trials of Dusko Jevic, Mendeljev Djuric, Goran Markovic and Nedjo Ikonic, who are charged with genocide in Srebrenica in 1995, and Veselin Vlahovic, known as Batko, who is indicted for crimes committed in Sarajevo. The trial of Vlahovic continues on Wednesday next week as well.
On Monday the trials are due to continue in the case of Mensur Memic, Nedzad Hodzic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Nihad Bojadzic and Zulfikar Alispago, who are charged with the murder of 22 persons in Trusina village in 1993, and Milun Kornjaca, Milorad Zivkovic and Dusko Tadic, who are indicted for Cajnice crimes. The Trusina crimes trial continues on Friday as well.
Four trials for genocide in Srebrenica in 1995 are due to continue in the coming week. The Defence is due to continue presenting evidence at the trial of Franc Kos, Stanko Kojic, Vlastimir Golijan and Zoran Goronja on Tuesday and Friday. The trial of Bozidar Kuvelja, who is indicted for the murder of civilians in Kravica in July 1995, continues on Tuesday.
The trial of Dragan Neskovic and Zoran Ilic for crimes committed in Srebrenica is scheduled to continue on Thursday. On that same day the trial is due to continue in the case of Zeljko Ivanovic, former member of the Second Special Police Squad of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, MUP of RS from Sekovici.
The trials of Albina Terzic, who is charged with crimes in Odzak in 1992, Drazen Mikulic, who is indicted for crimes committed in Dretelj detention camp, Capljina and Milan Peric, Aleksandar Cerovina, Spasoje Doder and Predrag Terzic, former policemen from Kalinovik, who are charged with committing crimes in that town, continue before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday.
Ratko Dronjak, who is indicted for crimes committed in Kamenica detention camp, near Drvar, is due to appear before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday and Thursday next week, when new Defence witnesses will be examined.
On Wednesday the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue presenting evidence at the trial of Zurahid Mujcinovic and Sulejman Hrustic, former members of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are charged with crimes committed in Srebrenik municipality.
On that same day new Defence witnesses are due to be examined at the trial of Mehura Selimovic, Adil Ruznic and Emir Mustafic, who are indicted for crimes committed in Bosnian Krajina.
The trial of Jasko Gazdic for crimes in the Foca area continues on Wednesday next week. One day later the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina is due to continue presenting evidence at the trials of Eso Macic, who is charged with committing crimes in Celebici detention camp, Konjic municipality in 1992, and Miralem Macic, who is indicted for crimes against civilians in Gornji Sitnik village, Konjic municipality.
Sasa Zecevic, Radoslav Knezevic, Marinko Ljepoja, Petar Civcic and Branko Topola, who are charged with the murders at Koricanske stijene, and Fikret Planincic, Rasim Lisancic and Sead Menzil, former members of the Territorial Defence from Kotor-Varos, are due to appear in court on Wednesday.
In the week ahead the Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is due to continue hearing witnesses’ statements at the retrial of Djordjislav Askraba, who is charged with crimes committed in Kalinovik.D.Dz.
