The indictment alleges that Vatrac, former member of the Territorial Defence in Kotor-Varos, participated, in collaboration with Fikret Planincic, Rasim Lisancic, Sead Menzil and others, in an attack against the Serb civilian population in Serdari village from June to November 1992.

“The indictees had conducted a previously planned infantry attack, in which 16 civilians, aged between four and 60, were killed. Some of the civilians were killed from fire arms in front of or inside their family houses,” the indictment alleges.

Several persons, including a highly-pregnant woman, were injured and houses and other buildings set on fire during an attack conducted in the early morning hours on September 17, 1992.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina says that the indictee was on the run, adding that, following his arrest, Croatia extradited him to Bosnian judicial authorities.

The indictment has been filed with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.

At the beginning of October this year the State Prosecution filed an indictment against Fikret Planincic, Rasim Lisancic and Sead Menzil for crimes committed in Serdari village. In late May this year an international warrant was issued against Mirsad Smajic, Nijaz Smajic and Nermin Mujanovic due to a suspicion that they participated in that same crime.
