Zoran Bozic, Chairman of the Trial Chamber with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said that the Defence had submitted a written response to the indictment, which had been further defined by the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“The Defence provided the Court with a written response to the further-defined indictment. No proposals for new evidence have been made. Hence, I confirm that the evidence presentation is completed,” judge Bozic said, not mentioning the details of the Defence’s response to the précised indictment.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed the further-defined indictment with the Trial Chamber at the beginning of June this year. Under the indictment, Slavko Lalovic, known as Ustasa, former member of reserve forces with the Public Safety Station in Kalinovik, enabled soldiers to enter the “Miladin Radojevic” school building, where he worked as a prison guard, and commit violence against civilians, who were unlawfully detained in the building.

The indictment alleges that, in late August 1992 Lalovic enabled two members of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS to enter the school and rape one female detainee.
