Local Justice – Grbic: Three Years’ Imprisonment

The verdict was pronounced after Grbic concluded a guilt admission agreement with the Una-Sana Cantonal, USC Prosecution.

Grbic admitted to wounding civilian Fadil Bolic on May 18, 1992.

Grbic expressed regrets for the crime he committed, apologising to injured party Bolic in the courtroom of the Cantonal Court in Bihac.

“I wanted to apologise to the injured party before, but I was scared and ashamed,” Grbic said. He pointed out that he willingly signed the guilt admission agreement with the USC Prosecution, adding that he was not influenced or threatened by anyone.

The verdict says that as he was going back home from his military unit’s base, Grbic, at that time a member of the “Petrovac Company of the 7463 Military Post in Petrovac” with the Republika Srpska Army, who was dressed in military uniform and accompanied by Ratko Sijan, came to Fadil Bolic’s house in Gaj, Bosanski Petrovac, and ordered him, in a threatening voice, to come out of his house.

Fadil Bolic and Fadil Hukic then jumped through the window, in an attempt to flee. According to the verdict, Grbic shot at them using an automatic gun, wounding Bolic, who suffered severe bodily injuries in the incident.
