Vukovic and Tomic: Ten Pieces of Material Evidence

The Defence of Radomir Vukovic presented two certificates of the indictee’s membership of the Second Special Police Squad and military service, an application to register his residential address, filed in Sekovici in 2006, and an extract from the death registry for Milica Vukovic, the indictee’s daughter, who died in 2005.
“This relates to the indictee’s family situation,” Radivoje Lazarevic, Defence attorney of Vukovic, said.
The Prosecution charges Vukovic and Zoran Tomic with participation in the murder of more than 1,000 men from Srebrenica, who were shot in the Kravica Agricultural Cooperative warehouse on July 13, 1995. The indictment alleges that the two indictees were members of the Second Special Police Squad from Sekovici.
After introducing these pieces of evidence, Lazarevic asked the Court for permission to show, at the next hearing scheduled for November 5, 2009, a recording of the examination of protected witness D5, which took place at the offices of the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina on May 22, 2008.
“It would be useful to see the way in which this witness presented the facts and how emotional he was,” the Defence attorney said.
The Trial Chamber accepted the proposal.
Protected witness D5 testified for the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina in February this year. Due to the protective measures granted by the Court, the content of his testimony was not disclosed to the public.
