At a status conference held today, prosecutor Tarik Crnkic said the prosecution stuck its proposed list of witnesses and material evidence. One of the witnesses for the prosecution will be testifying under protection measures.

The state court referred the case to the district court of Eastern Sarajevo in November 2015.

According to the charges, Komad, a former member of the Bosnian Serb Army, killed a Bosniak civilian in the village of Kosovo Polje in the municipality of Visegrad.

The indictment alleges that he went to Kosovo Polje after most of the Bosniak residents had already fled the village. He allegedly threatened a man who was hiding in his house’s yard.

“The defendant came running onto his property and yelled, ‘Stop!’ Fearing for his life, the person tried to run away. After that the defendant opened a burst of gunfire from his automatic weapon and killed him,” the indictment alleges.
