Azemin Sadikovic Acquittal Repealed by Supreme Court

The Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has repealed the acquittal in the Azemin Sadikovic case. Sadikovic has been charged with war crimes against civilians in the Hadzici area in May 1992.

Spokesperson Ilhana Tahmaz-Jamak said the verdict had been repealed following an appeal presented by the prosecution.

“This case has now been returned to the first instance court for a retrial,” Tahmaz–Jamak said.

On March 23, 2015, the cantonal court of Sarajevo acquitted Sadikovic, a former Bosnian Army soldier, of the murder of four civilians in the village of Kasatici in the municipality of Hadzici in May 1992.
