The district prosecution of Eastern Sarajevo included about 20 pieces of material evidence at the Igor Milosevic trial. Milosevic has been charged with the murder of civilians in the Trnovo area in 1995.

Milosevic has been charged with murdering a civilian named Nedzad Korajcevic on Mount Treskavica in the municipality of Trnovo on February 8, 1995. Korajcevic had been brought to the frontline on Mount Treskavica to perform forced labour.

At today’s hearing, the prosecution presented material evidence, including a death registry entry for Nedzad Korajcevic, six reports on the identification of persons through photos and an official document issued by the Institute for Missing Persons in 2011.

Defense attorney Vesna Tupajic-Skiljevic objected to the lawfulness of some of the evidence, and said she would present her objections at the next hearing.

Tupajic-Skiljevic said she would examine six witnesses on the defendant’s military engagement, his role in military units of which he was a member, and his stay in Serbia.

She also said she would include a series of documents in the case file as material evidence.

Two prosecution witnesses were supposed to be examined at this hearing. They failed to appear in court, because they had not been properly informed about the date and time of the hearing.

The trial will continue on November 25.
