Milosevic has been charged with killing a civilian who had been ordered to perform forced labour on the frontline on Mount Treskavica in the municipality of Trnovo on February 8, 1995.

At today’s hearing, prosecutor Tarik Crnkic said although the address he had for the witness was correct, he was unable to get in touch with him. The trial chamber decided to send another summons to the witness.

The prosecution proposed that a statement given by a witness who was unable to appear in court due to his poor health be read aloud in the courtroom. The defense objected, arguing that a court expert needed to establish whether the witness could appear in court or not. The prosecution proposed that the witness be invited to testify again.

The trial will continue on November 11.
