Sovilj and Galic, both former members of the Bosnian Serb Army, have been charged with the murder of Mehmed Harambasic from Sanica, near Kljuc, on May 31, 1992.
Prosecutor Nazif Felic said he would invite eight witnesses and one court expert to testify, and would also present material evidence.
The defense attorneys said they would present their evidence presentation plans once the witnesses for the prosecution had been examined.
Sovilj and Galic were arrested in the municipality of Prijedor on December 18, 2014.
The indictment and introductory statements will be presented at the first hearing, as well as the examination of the first three witnesses.
