Saran, Sabic and Kadic have been charged with the detention and murder of civilians, and the inhumane treatment of detainees held in several facilities in Bosanska Krupa from September 1995 to July 1996. Saran was the head of the public safety station in Bosanska Krupa, Sabic was a police commander and Kadic was a police officer.

At a pretrial status conference held today, prosecutor Slavica Terzic said she would examine 20 witnesses and one medical court expert. She said none of the witnesses had requested protection measures.

Terzic said she would also present statements by six deceased witnesses, as well as two statements given by witnesses who were ill. She also added that a number of documents would be included in the case file.

The defense didn’t present its evidence presentation plans.
