Kornjaca was acquitted last year of charges that he failed to punish his subordinate who killed 27 civilians in May 1992 in Cajnice. As commander of the Blue Eagles unit, Kornjaca was sentenced to five years for detaining Bosniak civilians in Cajnice.

His case was retried only on the charges he was acquitted on. After the case was retried, the state prosecution asked for him to be sentenced, and his defense called for an acquittal.

On Wednesday, the state prosecution will present its closing argument at the Mate Condric trial for crimes in Bosanski Brod.

Dragan Glogovac, who’s been charged with crimes in Zavidovici, will attend a status conference on Monday, July 13.

Dzevad Salcin’s defense has been charged with crimes on Mount Igman, will continue presenting evidence on Thursday.

Other trials will also resume next week.
