Hasan Pasic, who used to live in the hamlet of Pasici in Vakuf Selo, told the Bosnian state court that three people came and asked for money in April 1993. Pasic said they took money from his neighbour Mesud.

The Bosnian state court charged Mile Kokot, Goran, Milorad and Ranko Mrdja with participating in crimes against Bosniak victims, including acts of murder, rape, assault, theft and other forms of mental and physical abuse in the Sanski Most area. The indictment alleges that they committed the crimes as members of the Sixth Sanska Infantry Brigade of the Bosnian Serb Army.

Pasic said three people forced Mesud to break the door on his house. When three people, who were armed and dressed in civilian clothing, left the village, Pasic, his family and other neighbours were hid in the woods at night. On the following day he returned to the village. He found his brother-in-law Sefer, who was wounded.

Pasic said when he was previously examined he recognized Mile Kokot in photographs, saying that he did not harm anyone, and Goran, whom he saw on Mesud’s doorstep.

During the hearing, Pasic said he didn’t recognize anyone in the photographs because of his poor eyesight.

Pasic’s wife, Mine Pasic, was the second witness at the hearing. She said one of the people who came to the village, said he would kill her and throw a bomb inside her neighbour Mesud’s house.

Both witnesses said the people who entered Mesud’s house, didn’t beat anyone, but kicked their son once. They also said local residents of the village said someone named Halid Mehic brought those people to the village.

The trial will continue on June 8.
