Ikanovic was found guilty of murdering Anica Andjelic in the village of Gornji Bozinci near Derventa in October 1992, in collaboration with Stanko Vukmirovic, now deceased.
Trial chamber chairman Izudin Berberovic said Ikanovic stabbed Andjelic with a knife several times, after which Vukmirovic killed her by shooting her.
“The chamber has considered all the evidence presented by both the prosecution and defense and has determined that the defendant committed war crimes against the civilian population,” Berberovic said.
The parties have the right to file an appeal against this verdict with the Supreme Court of Republika Srpska.
