Vlacic, a former member of the military police of the Bircanska Brigade of the Bosnian Serb Army, has been accused of the murder and inhumane treatment of detainees held at the Lovac detention facility.
Vlacic allegedly ordered three detained civilians out of their cells and beat them until they died. The indictment further alleges that he ordered another prisoner to carry their bodies back to the cells, and ordered him to remain silent.
The trial will continue on May 11.
