Tomas Trial Postponed

The cantonal court of Sarajevo postponed the Momir Tomas trial, due to the poor health of one of the trial chamber members. Tomas has been charged with crimes against civilians in the municipality of Hadzici.

Trial chamber chairwoman Jasmina Begic said that one of her colleagues was sick and ordered the hearing to be postponed.

Tomas, a former member of the Bosnian Serb Army, has been charged with the physical abuse and inhumane treatment of Bosniak civilians in the village of Breza in the municipality of Hadzici on November 29, 1992.

The trial will continue on May 14.
