Trial for Sanski Most Crimes Begins April 13

The trial of four former Bosnian Serb Army soldiers charged with war crimes in the Sanski Most area from 1992-1994 will begin at the Bosnian state court on April 13.

At a pretrial conference, the parties involved agreed that after the reading of the indictment and the presentation of introductory statements, the first state prosecution witness would be examined.

The Bosnian state prosecution has charged Goran Mrdja, Milorad Mrdja, Ranko Mrdja, and Mile Kokot with participating in crimes against Bosniak victims. These crimes included murder, rape, assault, robbery and other types of mental and physical abuse in the Sanski Most area.
 
The indictment alleges that they committed the crimes as members of the Sixth Sanska Infantry Brigade with the Bosnian Serb Army.
 
The indictment was confirmed on January 20.
