Trbic Appears in Court Next Week

The hearing is scheduled for Monday, January 19. It is planned that the Prosecution of BiH and Defence will present their appeals following the quashing of the verdict by the Constitutional Court of BiH in November last year.
As in a series of previous cases, the Constitutional Court of BiH determined that the Code of the former Yugoslavia should have been applied in Trbic’s case instead of the Criminal Code of BiH, because the former one was more favourable for the indictee.
On Friday, January 23 the Prosecution of BiH and Defence are due to present their closing statements at the trial of Josip Tolic, who is charged with crimes in Odzak and Bosanski Brod.
Tolic is charged with having participated in the abuse of Serb prisoners in the Odzak and Bosanski Brod areas from May to October 1992.
Three plea hearings have been scheduled for next week. Adil Vojic and Bekir Mesic, who are charged with having raped a Serb woman in the Bihac area in May 1994, are due to enter their plea on Monday.
Milje Puljic is due to enter his plea to the charges that he committed crimes in Mostar at a hearing scheduled for Wednesday, January 21. He is charged with having participated in a joint criminal enterprise, as part of which the Bosniak population disappeared and was detained.
The following eight indictees, who are charged with crimes in Rogatica, are due to enter their plea on Friday: Radomir Markovic, Mile Kusic, Dragan Bozovic, Sasa Perkovic, Radomir Gluhovic, Pero Radovic, Ilija and Milos Vukasinovic. They are charged with having killed more than 20 Bosniak civilians, mainly women and children.
The Defence of Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Nusret Muhic, Zijad Hamzic, Ramiz Halilovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Osman Gogic and Kahro Vejzovic, who are charged with crimes in the Kladanj area, are due to begin presenting evidence on Friday.
Appeals against a verdict in Milun Kornjaca’s case, under which he was sentenced to five years in prison, in May last year, for crimes in Cajnice, are due to be presented and a pre-trial status conference in the case against Stevo, Milosav, Marijan and Slavko Jovanovic, who are indicted for crimes in Cajnice, held on that same day.
The trial of Srecko Boskovic, who is charged with the murder of a boy from Srebrenica on a dam, near Petkovci village, Zvornik, is due to continue on Friday as well.
On Monday the trial is due to continue in the case against Petar Kovacevic and Dragan Sekaric, who are charged with crimes in Visegrad.
One day later the trials are due to continue in the case against Aleksandar Cvetkovic, who is charged with genocide in Srebrenica, Ekrem Ibracevic, Sejdalija Covic and Faruk Smajlovic, who are indicted for crimes in Srebrenik, Muhamed Sisic, Emir Drakovac, Aziz Susa and Tarik Sisic, who are charged with crimes in Rogatica and Gorazde, as well as Goran Vujovic, Miroslav Duka and Zoran Ilic for crimes in Bileca.
On Tuesday a hearing is due to be held in the case against Dragomir Vasic, Danilo Zoljic and Radomir Pantic, who are charged with genocide in Srebrenica, while a hearing in the case against Mate Condric, who is suspected of crimes in Bosanski Brod, is scheduled for Thursday.
On Wednesday new State Prosecution witnesses are due to be examined at the trial of Gligor Begovic, who is charged with crimes in Batkovic detention camp, near Bijeljina, and the trial of Mitar and Rade Vlasenko and Drago Koncar, who are charged with crimes in Prijedor.
On that same day the trials are due to continue in the case against Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic, who are charged with genocide in Srebrenica, as well as Marinko and Zoran Bjelica and Novica Tripkovic for crimes in Kalinovik, while a hearing at which a request for extending prohibiting measures for Enes Curic, Samir Kreso, Habib Copelj, Ibrahim Demirovic and Mehmed Kaminic, who are charged with crimes in Mostar, will be held.
On Thursday, January 22 the Prosecution of BiH is due to continue presenting material evidence at the trial for crimes in Hadzici, which are charged upon Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic, Nermin Kalember and Nezir Kazic.
The Defence of Nedzad Hodzic and Dzevad Salcin, who are charged with crimes on Mount Igman, as well as Nihad Bojadzic, who is indicted for crimes in Jablanica, are due to continue presenting evidence on that same day, while new State Prosecution witnesses are due to be examined at the trial of Nikola Maric, who is charged with crimes in Prozor.
In the week ahead the retrials are due to continue in the case against Zeljko Jukic for crimes in Prozor and Savo Babic for crimes in Bratunac, as well as Mehura Selimovic, Adil Ruznic and Emir Mustafic for crimes in Krajina.
