Presenting his findings and opinion before the Cantonal Court in Novi Travnik, Zujo said that Sutkovic was exhumed from “Bijeli Harem” town cemetery in Donji Vakuf and that he determined, after having examined the remains, that “the lethal injuries on his head and pelvic bone were caused by projectiles fired from fire arms.”

When asked by Branka Praljak, Defence attorney of indictee Djogatovic, how many projectiles could cause those wounds, Zujo said that he could not say that for sure.

“Considering the parts of the body, which were injured, I am saying that the wounds could be caused by two projectiles fired from fire arms. I cannot determine the entry or exit point or the distance from which the projectiles were fired on the basis of skeletal remains,” Zujo said.

Djogatovic, former member of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, who was allegedly accompanied by Cedo Fonjgo, who died in the meantime, is charged with having shot Sulejman Sutkovic and another civilians from their back in Cehajici village in Donji Vakuf municipality in mid-June 1992.

The indictment alleges that, on that occasion Sutkovic was killed, while the other civilian ran away towards the territory controlled by the Army of BiH in Bugojno.

The trial is due to continue on December 8.
