Prosecutor Cazim Hasanspahic presented evidence on exhumation, autopsy and identification of Suad Hasanbegovic, Edin Bico and Sejdo Keso, whose remains were found in the vicinity of Kalinovik-Ulog trunk road on June 30, 2009.

Marinko and Zoran Bjelica, as well as Novica Tripkovic are on trial for crimes committed in Kalinovik. The former members of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, are charged with having participated in the murder and torture of Bosniak civilians, who were detained in the “Miladin Radojevic” school building in Kalinovik in August 1992.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, presented autopsy reports for Hasanbegovic, Bico and Keso, which, as said by the Prosecutor, were signed by court medicine expert Nermin Sarajlic.

“The persons, whose murders are charged upon the indictees, have been found,” Hasanbegovic said.

The Defence objected to lawfulness, relevance and authenticity of these pieces of evidence, claiming that the documents did not indicate that court expert Nermin Sarajlic attended the exhumation in Kalinovik.

Dragan Medjovic, Defence attorney of indictee Marinko Bjelica, said that four bodies were found, asking “why only one body is disputable”.

“I am saying that everything was done in accordance with the law. The fourth body has, unfortunately, not been identified,” Hasanspahic said, adding that the evidence related to the fourth body was not presented for that reason.

The trial is due to continue on November 19.
