Defence attorney Midhat Koco gave up the examination of witnesses Jovica Milosevic, Said Rizvic and Salkan Halvadzija.

Witnesses Milosevic and Rizvic were invited several times, but they refused to testify at this trial, while witness Halvadzija is in the United States.

“Witness Milosevic said that he did not have time to come to the Court, while Rizvic, who lives in Zagreb, does not want to come to Sarajevo out of fear,” Koco said.

After having said that it gave up the examination of these witnesses, the Defence of Sadikovic presented statements given by witnesses Suada Sadikovic and Novica Milosevic, which they gave during the investigation, but those statements were not read in the courtroom.

The Prosecution did not object to the inclusion of those statements in the case file.

The Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecution charges Sadikovic, former member of the armed forces of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, with having killed four Serb civilians in Kasatici village in May 1992.

At this hearing the Prosecution proposed the examination of additional witnesses – brother and sister Mihret and Sefika Hujic, but the Defence objected to the proposal.

The Trial Chamber accepted the Prosecution’s proposal. It is planned that Mihret and Sefika Hujic will testify at the next hearing, scheduled for November 21.
