No Guilty Plea for Crimes in Srebrenik

Three indictees, who are charged with crimes in Srebrenik, plead not guilty of all the counts contained in the State Prosecution’s indictment.
The crimes committed in Srebrenik are charged upon Ekrem Ibracevic, Faruk Smajlovic and Sejdalija Covic.
They are charged with having participated in the unlawful detention and torture of Serb civilians from Tinja, Potpec and Jasenica villages, as well as other places in the Srebrenik area. All indictees pleaded not guilty, while Ibracevic also said: “This is exaggerated.”
According to the charges, Ibracevic was Chief of the Military Security Section with the Municipal Headquarters of the Territorial Defence, TO, in Srebrenik, Smajlovic was Commander of the Military Police Squad with the TO Municipal Headquarters in Srebrenik and Covic was member of military police.
Their trial will begin in the coming period.
