After a retrial, the Trial chamber concluded there is insufficient evidence that Trle killed former member of the Bosnian Serb army Drago Stevanovic on April 21, 1993 on Banj Brdo, on Majevica Mount near Kalesija.

Presiding judge Nidzara Zlotrg said the prosecution failed to prove that Trle committed the murder.
“The Court accepted the statements of former prisoners of war who said that Stevanovic was alive when they were captured and that later a Bosnian army serviceman killed him. However the Chamber could not find anything beyond reasonable doubt that the person who shot Stevanovic was Trle,” said Zlotrg.

Trle was a member of the Bosnian Army Tuzla brigade during the war.

This verdict of the Federation Supreme court is final and cannot be appealed.

The case against Trle was twice sent to retrial before the Cantonal court in Tuzla, after he was acquitted of charges by this entity level court.
