Omazic’s Defence attorney Osman Mulahalilovic informed the Trial Chamber that his client had been at hospital for a few days and that he could therefore not attend the continuation of the trial.

Mulahalilovic requested the Court to postpone the trial for at least a month because he still did not know when his client would leave hospital.

According to the charges, Asmir Tatarevic and Armin Omazic, former members of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, physically abused Serb prisoners. At that time Tatarevic was a soldier, escorting Commander of the 108th Brigade of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, for Bosanska Posavina, while Omazic was military policeman.

The trial is due to continue on November 7.
