A retrial against Stricevic is due to be held before the Cantonal Court in Bihac.

“After having held a session of its Chamber, the Supreme Court rendered a decision, partially upholding the Defence attorney’s appeal, quashing the verdict pronounced by the Cantonal Court in Bihac and returning the case back to the first instance Chamber for a retrial,” the Court announced.

In June 2013 the Bihac Cantonal Court sentenced Stricevic to ten years in prison for having participated in the murder of two detainees in June 1992.

Under the first instance verdict, it was determined that Stricevic, former member of the reserve forces of Republika Srpska police, participated in the murder of Emsud Smailovic and Mustafa Cikota, former members of the Territorial Defence.
