This is the second verdict pronounced by the Tuzla Cantonal Court, acquitting Trle of charges. The first verdict was pronounced on May 23 last year, but the Supreme Court of the Federation of BiH quashed it and ordered a retrial.

Trle, former member of the 3rd Battalion with the Third Tuzla Brigade, is charged with having separated Drago Stevanovic, who was wounded, from a group of captives following the occupation of positions held by the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, on April 21, 1993 and killed the man by opening a burst of fire from close distance to his chest. This happened on Banj Hill in Kalesija municipality.

During the course of the trial the Tuzla Cantonal Prosecution examined 13 witnesses, while the Defence examined four.

The parties have the right to file an appeal against the verdict with the Supreme Court of the Federation of BiH.
