“The Chamber has reviewed all of the evidence and decided to recall witness M, who has already testified for the prosecutor, but as a witness of the Court,” said presiding judge Davorin Jukic.

Witness M testified on February 21 last year, but his testimony was closed to the public.

Kovacevic is accused of participating in the attack on Sijekovac, where, together with other soldiers, he led 15 Serb adults and four children from their houses into their yards, where some of them were killed.

He is charged as a member of the Intervention Platoon of the First Bosanski Brod Brigade, which later became the 101st Bosanski Brod Brigade of the Croatian Defence Council.

Kovacevic has been in custody since 2011, when he was extradited from Sweden. The indictment against him was confirmed in April 2012, and his trial started in July that year.

Protected witness M will testify on March 12.
