Peric, former member of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, was pronounced guilty of having treated prisoners of war and one detained civilian in an inhumane manner in Gabela during July 1993.

The Supreme Court of FBiH rejected, as unfounded, a Defence attorney’s appeal against the first instance verdict, in which the Defence requested the Court to pronounce a verdict of release.

On October 14, 2013 the Mostar Cantonal Court sentenced Peric for having assisted in the physical abuse of Sefik Kovacic and, acting in collaboration with other HVO members, forced Ekrem Pekaz, Huso Maric and Esad and Mirsad Peco to injure themselves by forcing them to jump head first from a high point down to a concrete floor in mid-July 1993.
