Nijaz Habibija, former soldier with the 45th Mountain Brigade of ABiH, said that he saw some unknown soldiers in the Brigade Command in Parsovici village, near Trusina, in mid-April 1993.

He said that he found out, later on, that the unknown soldiers were present in Trusina and that one of them called Samko was wounded in the village and died soon after.

The witness said that he spent a few hours in the school building, but he did not hear anybody mentioning Bojadzic, whom he did not know.

“I did not hear anybody mentioning that name,” the witness said.
According to previous testimonies, members of “Zulfikar” Squad arrived in the 45thMountain Brigade’s Command in Parsovici prior to the attack on Trusina.

Bojadzic is on trial, along with Zulfikar Alispago, Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic and Nedzad Hodzic, for having conducted the attack on Trusina on April 16, 1993, when Croat civilians and soldiers were killed.

According to the charges, Bojadzic, former Deputy Commander of “Zulfikar” Special Purposes Squad, issued an order that no one should stay alive in Trusina and commanded the attack via communication means from a nearby hill.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina alleges that “Zulfikar” Special Purposes Squad was subordinate to the Main Command Headquarters, SVK, at that time.

Second witness Abdulah Kajevic, who testified in defence of Bojadzic, was Chief of the Organizational and Mobilization Affairs Directorate with the SVK in 1993.

He agreed with Bojadzic’s Defence that the document issued on April 12, 1993, indicating that “Zulfikar” Squad would be transferred to the First Corps of ABiH, was produced in the Directorate, whose chief he was.

Responding to questions by Prosecutor Vesna Budimir, the witness said that he had not seen the presented document during the war. The Prosecutor said that the “Zulfikar” Squad” stamp used in 1993 said that it belonged to the SVK.

“The SVK should not have been there,” the witness said. When the Prosecutor said: “But it was there”, he answered: “The war was there as well”.

The SVK was led by Sefer Halilovic in the mentioned period of time.

The trial is due to continue on February 17.
