Enes Maksumic appears before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and pleads not guilty of the charges for torture and inhumane treatment of a Croat prisoner of war in “the Battle of Neretva” Museum in Jablanica.

“Honourable Court, I plead not guilty,” indictee Maksumic said.

Maksumic, as well as Azem Ibrovic and Jusuf Hindic, who pleaded not guilty last week, are charged with this crime, which was committed at night on July 28/29, 1993.

According to the charges, Ibrovic and Maksumic were policemen with the Public Safety Station in Jablanica and Hindic was member of the 44th Brigade of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH.

Preliminary hearing judge Stanisa Gluhajic said that the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided to refer this case to the Cantonal Court in Mostar.
