Verdict against Zoran Milic Next Week

In the week ahead a verdict is due to be pronounced in the case against Zoran Milic, who is charged with crimes in Busovaca.

Milic is indicted for having participated in the murder and wounding of four Bosniak civilians in Busovaca municipality on April 26, 1993. The pronouncement of the verdict is scheduled for Friday, November 29.

On Thursday, November 28 the trial is due to begin in the case against Josip Tolic, who is charged with crimes against the civilian population in Odzak and Bosanski Brod in 1992.   

In the week ahead a series of hearings will be held, as per the State Prosecution’s proposal, in order to discuss custody order motions for ten convicts who were released from prisons, where they were serving long-term imprisonment sentences, after the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina quashed verdicts pronounced against them.

On Tuesday, November 26 hearings are due to be held in the case against Nikola Andrun, who was sentenced to 18 years in prison for crimes in Gabela detention camp, near Capljina, as well as Petar Mitrovic, who was sentenced to 28 years in prison for having assisted in the commission of genocide in Srebrenica.  

One day later the Court will consider custody order motions for Slobodan Jakovljevic, Aleksandar Radovanovic, Branislav Medan, Brano Dzinic and Milenko Trifunovic, who were sentenced to between 28 and 33 years in prison for having assisted in the commission of genocide.  

On Thursday a hearing will be held in the case against Milorad Savic, Mirko (son of Spiro) Pekez and Mirko (son of Mile) Pekez, who were released from serving sentences ranging between 14 and 29 years for having committed crimes in Jajce.
On Tuesday the first State Prosecution witness is due to appear at the trial of Aleksandar Cvetkovic, who is charged with genocide in Srebrenica.

On that same day first witnesses are due to testify in defence of Savo Zivkovic, who is on trial, along with Najdan Mladjenovic, for having committed crimes in Bratunac, as well as Srecko Herceg, who is charged, along with Ivan Zelenika, Edib Buljubasic, Ivan Medic and Marina Grubisic-Fejzic, for crimes in Dretelj detention camp.  

On Tuesday the Defence is due to present its closing statements at the trial of Fikret Planincic, Rasim Lisancic, Sead Menzil and Mirsad Vatrac, who are charged with crimes in Kotor-Varos. On that same day the trials are due to continue in the case against Edin Dzeko, who is charged with crimes in Trusina, and Predrag Milisavljevic, Milos Pantelic and Ljubomir Tasic for crimes in Visegrad.   

On Wednesday, November 27 the trials are due to continue in the case against Branko Vlaco for crimes in Vogosca, as well as Zemir Kovacevic, who is charged with crimes in Bosanski Brod.

One day later the trial is due to continue in the case against Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic and Nermin Kalember, who are charged with crimes in Hadzici municipality.

The continuation of the trial of Nedzad Hodzic and Dzevad Salcin, who are charged with crimes on Mount Igman, is scheduled for Thursday. On that same day a hearing will be held in the case against Nikola Maric, who was arrested, in September, due to a suspicion that he committed crimes in Prozor.    

On Friday the trials are due to continue in the case against Osman Brkan, who is charged with crimes in Konjic, Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Nusret Muhic, Zijad Hamzic, Ramiz Halilovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Hariz Habibovic, Kahro Vejzovic and Osman Gogic, who are charged with crimes in Kladanj, as well as Ramiz Avdovic and Iulian-Nicolae Vintila for crimes in Sarajevo.
