Mumin Fisic said that he participated in the cleaning of the River Rakitnica canyon. As he said, the operation was commanded by Mirsad Fisic, known as Kolumbo. They went from Glavaticevo to Blace village, where they saw ruinous building walls. According to the witness’ testimony, all of them were walking through the village and shooting, while he and a few other people sat down and had lunch.

“A guy named Ibro Macic came to me and said: ‘Why are you sitting here and eating. There is a full house of Chetniks over there’,” Fisic said, adding that Macic told him and he stabbed an old woman with a knife and that her intestines fell out.

Mumin Fisic did not see who killed the old women. He did not go into the house. Also, he said that he did not know whether indictee Osman Brkan went into the house, where the old women were.

Ibro Macic and Osman Brkan, former members of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, are charged with having killed four Serb old women in Blace village in June 1992. According to the charges,
Macic was the first one who opened fire, followed by Brkan. The bodies of the killed women have still not been found.

Second Prosecution witness Nurko Fisic said that he had lunch with his brother Mumin and some other soldiers.

“Salko, Seho and Ibro Macic, Ramo Brkan and Mirsad Fisic went towards some houses in the other part of Blace village,” Fisic said, adding that he then heard sporadic and bursts of fire.

As he said, indictee Ibro Macic then said that there were some “girls” in that part of the village, but Fisic thought that he was joking.

“While I was keeping guard on the following day, I found out that some women had been present in the village. Somebody said that they were no longer alive,” Fisic said.

Prosecutor Sanja Jukic said that, in his previous statement Fisic said that Macic told him, while he was keeping guard: “Did you see those old women? They were hiding, but I found them”.

Fisic said that his testimony from today was correct and that he made a mistake in his previous statement.

Nurko Fisic said that Mirsad Fisic, known as Kolumbo, and second State Prosecution witness Seho Macic put pressure on him during the Prosecution’s investigation.

The trial is due to continue on September 24.
