Indictment for Rape Confirmed
The District Court in Bijeljina confirms an indictment charging M.L. with war crimes against the civilian population in Caparde village, Osmaci municipality in 1992.

According to the charges, in June 1992 M.L., a former member of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, forcedly separated a 16-year old girl from a group of a few captured non-Serb women, threatened her and then raped her.
The Bijeljina District Prosecution’s indictment is based on a statement by the injured party, statements by other witnesses, medical documentation and other relevant evidence.
The District Court in Bijeljina will schedule a plea hearing in this case in the coming period.
