Start of Prijedor Trial

The trial of Dragomir Soldat, Velemir Djuric and Zoran Babic, charged with crimes against Bosniaks in Prijedor in 1992 will start before the Bosnian State Court next week.

Soldat, Djuric and Babic are charged with expulsions, murders and inhumane acts from April to September 1992 against Bosniak and Croat civilains in Prijedor. The trial will start on Thursday, March 21.
Mensur Memic, who is on trial for crimes in Trusina village on April 16, 1992 will testify on his own behalf on Monday, March 18. He is on trial with Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Nihad Bojadzic and Zulfikar Alispago.On the same day the Defence of Goran Saric, who is on trial for crimes in Sarajevo, will call new witnesses, while on Tuesday, March 19, protected witness B will testify on behalf of the Prosecution at the trial of Ivan Zelenika, Srecko Herceg, Edib Buljubasic, Ivan Medic and Marina Grubisic-Fejzic, all charged with crimes in Dretelj camp.The trial of Edin Dzeko, Bosnian Army member, for crimes in Trusina and Jablanica and Predrag Milisavljevic, Milos Pantelic and Ljubomir Tasic for crimes in Visegrad will resume on Tuesday.On Wednesday, March 20, the trial of Branko Vlaco for crimes in Vogosca will continue, as will the trial of Veselko and Ivo Raguz for crimes in Stolac and Capljina. On the same day Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic, genocide indictees and Zoran Dragicevic, who is on trial for crimes in Sarajevo, will appear in the courtroom.
The trial of Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic and Nermin Kalember, for crimes in Hadzici, will resume on Thursday.
On that same day, the Prosecution will call new witnesses at the trial of Zeljko Jukic for crimes in Prozoro and Nihad Bojadzic for crimes in Jablanica. On Friday, March 22, Ramiz Avdovic and Iulian-Nicolae Vintila, charged with crimes in Sarajevo, will be in the courtroom.
Retrials in front of the Appeallate chamber will continue next week in the cases of Nisvet Gasal, Musajb Kukavica and Senad Dautovic for crimes in Bugojno, and Gojko Klickovic and Mladen Drljaca for crimes in Bosanska Krupa.
Momir Pelemis’s retrial for Srebrenica genocide and Marko Adamovic and Bosko Lukic’s retrial for crimes in Kljuc will also resume next week. S.U.
