Court expert Abid Hodzic said that he made his findings about the belongings confiscated from Srecko Klaric’s apartment at the request of an investigative judge in 2000, adding that his findings were prepared on the basis of a list of confiscated belongings made by the injured party and the injured party’s statement.

“The total value of confiscated possessions was KM 317,582. I still stick with the estimated value,” Hodzic said.

The indictment alleges that, on November 1, 1995 Djajic ordered armed policemen to bring S.K. to the Police Station under the excuse of conducting an informative interview with him. When he was brought to the station, he told him that he had to leave his apartment and RS territory, because he was a Croat and he was under threat of liquidation.

“When S.K. refused to leave his apartment, Djajic cursed him and hit him in his face with his fist. Injured party S.K. fell of the chair, while other policemen continued hitting him with their legs and fists all over his body,” the indictment alleges. It further says that the injured party was then escorted to a checkpoint controlled by the RS Army at Kobiljaca.

According to the charges, Djajic moved into S.K.’s apartment on November 2, 1995. He lived in the apartment until March 1996. The indictment alleges that, while he was leaving the apartment, Djajic transported the movable property worth about KM 317,582 by truck to an unknown destination.

Court expert Hodzic explained that his expert examination covered the things that were included in Klaric’s list of confiscated belongings, considering their value and shape at the moment of confiscation.

The trial is due to continue on October 1, when the Defence’s proposed list of evidence will be considered.
