Trial Chamber Chairwoman Jasmina Kosovic said that court expert Vedo Tuco informed the Court that he would not be able to appear in courtroom due to “previously scheduled engagements”.

“He has previously scheduled engagements. He will be able to appear in court in September,” Kosovic said.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina charges Grujic, former member of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, with having participated, along with several other persons, in the capture and murder of ten Bosniak civilians in Zvornik municipality on May 10, 1992.

State Prosecutor Adnan Gulamovic proposed that material evidence about exhumations, about which court expert Tuco was supposed to testify, be included without examining the expert, in case the Defence had no objections. However, Dragan Gotovac, Defence attorney of indictee Grujic said that the court expert should explain certain pieces of material evidence.

The trial is due to continue on September 7 with the presentation of expert Tuco’s findings and opinion and material evidence related to the exhumations.
